Employee Screening and Counseling:
Sozo Services provides pre-employment interviewing of candidate employees as well as providing spiritual counseling to current employees. Listening to the leading of the Holy Spirit while engaging in a conversation with others, is an art that needs to be developed in Christian leaders.
The world tends to focus on people’s education and experience when looking for potential employees. However, the Bible instructs us to seek out faithful men and woman to commit our businesses to, because they are the people that God promises to equip with the ability to complete the assignment (2 Timothy 2:2). We are also admonished to know those who labor among us (1Thessalonians 5:12). Taking the time to get to know the potential candidate and listening to God’s voice is the best way to prevent hiring mistakes that can be both harmful and costly.
Even after identifying and hiring the best candidates, many Christian employees encounter challenges in their personal and professional careers that can affect their job assignments. Jesus said that we are called to love one another (John 13:34 ) and bear each other’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). We have found that love, an open heart, a lending hand, and clear communications will generally bring Godly wisdom into the situation, clearing up many employee problems.
